| Job Opportunities - Senior Civil Engineer |
Battle
McCarthy is a multi-disciplinary engineering and landscape architecture
consultancy that specialises in the design and delivery of sustainable
solutions for the built environment. We have a proven track record of
producing award-winning low energy designs that bring people and nature
closer together.
We
are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with at least 7 years post
qualification experience, and a minimum of a postgraduate degree in a
building services related field (ideally 1st Class).
Suitable candidates are expected to be proficient in AutoCAD, and will be expected to carry out the following:- Design Calculations
- Drawing Production
And be familiar with the design of:
- Bridges
- Roads and pavements
- Foundations including piles and retaining structures
- Infrastructure
- Below ground drainage
The
candidate must also be fully conversant with the recommendations and
best practices relating to structural engineering services, including
familiarity with relevant UK design codes and capability regarding
incorporating overseas building codes as necessary.
The
successful candidate will also need to have an excellent understanding
of civil engineering and be able to work without supervision in this
regard.
The ideal candidate should be chartered (with
the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE)) or looking to gain chartership
with two years. The successful candidate will also need to be
fluent in English.
The successful candidate will work
on a number of high profile projects both in the UK and abroad and may
be required to travel abroad for short periods of time.
