Jamie has worked as a Structural Engineer for over 6 years after completing his postgraduate studies. Prior to working at Battle McCarthy, Jamie worked as a Structural Engineer at Buro Happold in London.

Jamie has a wide-ranging background in structural engineering from designing for the award winning £100m British Museum Great court Project through to many other UK and International projects such as the £20m Institute of Cancer Research in London, the £10m Glasgow Wing Tower and the John Barret Prize Winning (IStructE young engineer of the year 1999) design for a carbon fibre pedestrian bridge over the River Severn.

Jamie has extensive knowledge of various sectors of the Construction Industry including Building Engineering (in specific structural dynamics and the response of floors to harmonic loading) and bridge Design. Jamie has also been heavily involved in the development of off site production and modular design through the design of modular components for the British Museum Roof and the Lightweight bridge to the development of modular live work spaces that utilise modified shipping containers as the building modules
