Environmental Engineering with a wide rang of skills in environmental modelling, environmental strategy development and Building Design.

Understanding of, in order to manage the implementation of the following:

Dynamic Thermal Analysis
• Using EDSL Tas
Solar Analysis
• Using Ecotect combined with ImageJ and Stoik Video Converter
• Solar shadow mapping
• Permanent overshadowing analysis
• Solar Animations
• View from sky analysis
Daylight Analysis
• Ecotect and Radiance
Climate Analysis
• Psychrometry
• Identification of opportunities for bioclimatic design strategies
Airmovement Analysis
Phoenix
Wind
Knowledge of the characteristics of airmovement around buildings
Working knowledge of wind tunnel testing
Renewable Energy Analysis
• GLA Toolkit, PV Yield etc
Wind Analysis
• Ability to interpret results from BM short fetch wind tunnel, using particle erosion method
• CFD for wind using Phoenics

Masterplan Analysis
• Daylight, solar, noise, pollution

Ability to convey design guidance visually by sketching
Concept massing, form, orientation, shading design
Ability to write reports quickly and accurately and to review the work of colleagues.
